Dan Wang, MD
Ask people over 40 what they actually fear, and the answer is almost never vague. It is a heart attack like their father's, or a stroke like their colleague's. This package is built around those two fears: it takes the full Essential screening and adds the two examinations that look directly at them — an echocardiogram for the heart's structure and a brain MRI for what has already happened silently.
What's included
- Everything in the Essential tier's physical examinations, blood work and cancer screening (13 tumor markers for men, 11 for women)
- Echocardiogram: ultrasound of the heart itself — valves, chamber size, pumping strength
- Brain MRI: radiation-free imaging that reveals old silent strokes, small vessel changes and structural abnormalities a CT can miss
- Coronary artery calcium score and arteriosclerosis testing, plus a cervical spine X-ray
- Cardiac risk blood panel: high-sensitivity CRP and homocysteine, the two inflammatory and metabolic markers most linked to cardiovascular events
- Immune function testing (complement C3/C4, immunoglobulins) and AI-assisted retinal photography — the retina is the one place your blood vessels can be photographed directly
- Low-dose chest CT, the full ultrasound suite, bone density, TCM constitution assessment, breakfast and the digital report
Who this package is for
| Dimension | Who this package fits |
|---|---|
| Age | Roughly 40 to 60 — the decades when cardiovascular risk stops being abstract. Sensible from 35 with the right family history. |
| Health profile | Family history of heart attack, stroke or sudden death; high blood pressure or cholesterol (managed or not); smokers and ex-smokers; anyone told to ‘keep an eye on it’ who never quite did. |
| Life situation | High-stress executives and founders running on adrenaline and coffee; people returning to screening after years away; travelers whose spouse insisted. |
| The logic | For about $150 over the Essential tier, you add the two scans that answer the two questions people this age actually ask. It is the best-value upgrade in the entire price list. |
Who should choose a different tier
- Under 35 and healthy: the Essential tier covers you; spend the difference on dinner.
- Diabetes or fatty liver concerns: the Comprehensive tier adds HbA1c and digital liver imaging.
- Known cardiovascular disease under active management: the VIP tier's deeper lipid panel (lipoprotein(a), apolipoproteins) gives your cardiologist more to work with.
The morning
Same shape as every tier: fasting arrival between 8:00 and 10:30, blood work and fasting imaging before breakfast, everything else after. The brain MRI adds about twenty minutes; most clients still finish by midday.
An honest note
A normal echocardiogram and calcium score are reassuring, not a guarantee — and an abnormal finding is a starting point for a conversation with a cardiologist, not a verdict. This package's job is to move you from wondering to knowing.
