The Essential is the package we recommend most often to first-timers. It is not a watered-down screening — it includes tests that would be considered premium add-ons at home, like a low-dose chest CT and a coronary artery calcium score. It is simply the tier that covers the fundamentals thoroughly, without the specialized depth most healthy people under 45 do not yet need.

What's included

  • Full physical examinations: internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, dental and gynecological exam, plus a 12-lead ECG
  • Imaging: low-dose chest CT, head CT, and ultrasound of the abdomen, thyroid, carotid arteries, bladder and urinary tract — plus prostate (men), breast and pelvic ultrasound (women)
  • Cancer screening: 13 tumor markers (men) or 11 (women), EB virus antibody, quantitative stool occult blood, and for women TCT cervical screening with HPV-16/18 testing
  • Blood work: complete blood count, liver function (11 items), kidney function with early kidney injury panel, lipids, fasting glucose, adiponectin, thyroid function, apolipoproteins, cardiac enzymes and MPO
  • Heart and arteries: coronary artery calcium score, arteriosclerosis testing
  • Bone density screening, carbon-14 H. pylori breath test, and a free-radical clearance genetic assessment
  • TCM constitution assessment, breakfast on site, and the closing review with a digital report

Who this package is for

DimensionWho this package fits
AgeRoughly 25 to 45. Younger than 25, any screening is optional; older than 45, most people benefit from the deeper cardiac or cancer tiers.
Health profileGenerally healthy, no diagnosed conditions, no strong family history of cancer, heart disease or stroke. You feel fine and want to verify it properly.
Life situationFirst comprehensive checkup ever (or first in years); expats and digital nomads between home healthcare systems; travelers adding one productive morning to a China trip; couples screening together on a budget.
The logicThis tier buys the two things that matter most at your age: a cancer marker baseline and a calcium score. Every future screening you ever do gets compared against this one.

Who should choose a different tier

  • Over 45, or any age with a family history of heart attack or stroke: the Cardio & Brain tier adds an echocardiogram and brain MRI for about $150 more.
  • Family history of stomach, colorectal or breast cancer: go straight to the SVIP tier for capsule gastroscopy and DNA-based screening.
  • Diabetes, prediabetes or fatty liver in the family: the Comprehensive tier adds HbA1c and a digital liver ultrasound.

The morning

Arrive fasting between 8:00 and 10:30 with your passport. Blood draw and fasting imaging first, breakfast on site, then the remaining examinations. Most Essential clients finish in about three hours and have the afternoon free.

An honest note

Age guidance here is general, not medical advice — a 28-year-old with a strong family history should screen deeper, and a healthy 55-year-old who simply wants a baseline is welcome at this tier. Tell us your situation and we will say plainly if this is the right package, because for many people it genuinely is.

General information, not medical advice. Screening results are risk indicators, not diagnoses. Prices assume the September 2026 CNY/USD rate and are re-checked quarterly.

Tell us your age and travel dates, and we will confirm whether the Essential is the right tier — and book the morning around your trip.
